The retreat speakers are Pastor Don Overstreet and his son, Pastor Kirk.

Pastor Don is a church planter and strategist who has been humbly serving the Lord for over four decades. You can read more about Pastor Don here.

And Pastor Kirk is part of the Set Free Ministry whose mission is to reach the poor and those suffering from drug and alcohol abuse in the Inland Empire. Currently, Pastor Kirk has been involved in relief efforts in Haiti.

It will be a powerful father-son duo!

Please join us for the final Bible Study of the year. We will be wrapping up our study of Mark with Mark 5 and the account of the bleeding woman and Jairus’ daughter.

Here are some of the questions we will cover tonight:

  • Do you think of yourself as a somebody or a nobody? What are the qualifications to be a somebody?
  • Put yourself in Jairus’ shoes – what is your reaction when you hear that your daughter is dying? Have you had this type of experience before?
  • Any similarities or differences between the the bleeding woman and Jairus’ daughter?

Please let Ray know if you are planning to be around this summer. We will be having some type of weekly Bible Study along with students from LCFers from Oxy and USC and some young adults.

Also, if anyone is interested in joining in a small group for discipleship or accountability during the summer, please let one of the LCF staff members know.
